In episode 2 of Game of Thrones, Podrick Payne sang a song that made many in the fandom break down in tears. That song is known as Jenny’s Song named for Jenny of Oldstones. But who was Jenny of Oldstones? What’s the history behind her and the song named after her? And why did the fandom react so strongly to hearing it? In this video, I try to answer those questions and talk about the tragedy of Jenny’s Song and how it started with a Prince, a girl, and a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Quotes and music performed by ShakespeareOfThrones.
